Rehab Bootcamp and the Jacksonville USO Fundraiser
This month we hosted our 4-Day Intensive Rehab Bootcamp in Jacksonville Florida and raised $2,400 for the Jacksonville USO! Bootcamp speakers Paul and JD Esajian educated our mastery students in the process of rehabbing a home from purchase to sale.
During the bootcamp we held a fundraising challenge that would get our students outside of their comfort zone and generate funds and awareness for a great cause. We partnered with The Greater Jacksonville USO, also known as Help on the Home Front, which serves to offer support and services to members of the military and their families. They provide a wide variety of programs and services to improve the quality of life for more than 115,000 military members and their families in the area.
To raise money for the organization’s great cause, we put together a fun and friendly competition that would challenge our bootcamp. They were each asked to create their own version of the ‘Harlem Shake’ viral video that have been all over the Internet recently.
FortuneBuilders pledged to donate one dollar to the USO of Jacksonville for every person that they could convince to participate in each of their videos. Students were given the opportunity to make a similar pledge or a one-time donation on our donor board. Once the videos were submitted and participants tallied, donors could visit FortuneBuildersGives.com to make their donations.
In addition to all of the donations made by our incredible students, FortuneBuilders donated a total of $601 to the Jacksonville USO. The event created a lot of buzz and everyone had a great time participating in the viral video craze.
